Fire, Ice & Bridges

Understand what the passport’s locations mean and which ideas are still being developed.

Does the zone change a pattern’s reward?

Under the current passport rules, the same qualifying formation has the same listed reward requirements in the fire zone or the ice zone. Crossing between the zones gives you more connected placements to build with. It does not yet add a bonus, reduce a sticker cost, or issue another reward.

This explains the current passport catalog, version 0.4, dated August 31, 2026. Fire-specific, ice-specific, and bridge-specific reward variants have not been defined in that catalog.

Your two zones and two bridges

Location Passport sockets Current role
Fire zone 01–10 Build along the printed connections on the left side.
Ice zone 11–20 Build along the printed connections on the right side.
Cross-zone bridges 03 ↔ 11 and 08 ↔ 16 Connect a formation across the center fold.

The same formation in three locations

These are three possible Pack Forge placements. Each uses three connected stickers in one straight line.

All three are formation examples. A reward that costs four stickers still needs four. If the recipe requires a separate Activation Seal in socket 01, that sticker cannot also be a formation node. For example, 02 → 03 → 11 plus Seal 01 is a four-sticker Pack Forge-and-Seal layout. The fire-only example above uses 01 in its formation, so it cannot use that same sticker again as the separate seal.

A zone is different from a sticker family

The background shows where you placed a sticker. Its family comes from the sticker itself. Moving a Paths & Power sticker to the ice side does not turn it into a second family.

A cross-zone bridge does not automatically make a mixed-family Gate. Check the printed connections and the sticker-family requirement separately.

What “Bridge Summoning Coin” means

The Bridge Summoning Coin calls a Real-Virtual game that combines physical and computer-world actions. Its current passport recipe is three non-overlapping three-sticker formations, including a mixed-family Gate, with nine stickers in total. Its name does not add a requirement to cross the fire/ice fold, and crossing that fold alone does not earn the coin.

The earlier idea you may remember

CoinMasters already has related design foundations:

Those ideas provide a foundation for zone-sensitive passport rewards. They do not supply a current rule saying that an ice-side Pack Forge earns a different reward from a fire-side Pack Forge.

Future regional variants

Design direction under discussion; no regional bonuses are active. A future reward could offer different effects for a formation contained in fire, contained in ice, or connected across a bridge. Each variant needs a published effect, cost, eligible formation, family rule, and course approval before learners can redeem it.

A bridge variant should specify whether one qualifying formation must traverse 03–11 or 08–16. Having unrelated stickers on both sides would not, by itself, demonstrate that a formation crosses a bridge. Rules would also need to say how multi-formation recipes and a separate Activation Seal affect the location test.

Every redemption still surrenders the whole passport

Meet the selected reward’s full recipe and minimum cost, submit one reward request, and surrender the complete physical passport with every sticker and unused pattern attached. The instructor verifies the request and issues a new blank passport. Location does not currently grant a second redemption.

Your next base passport

A new base Power-Up Passport costs 3 stickers from the surrendered passport or paid separately. You may instead self-print the provided base passport PDF. Only the base passport may be self-printed; more powerful cards, scrolls, and passports must be issued.
