Learn to Play: First Concepts

Practice a flip pattern and learn what still needs a published rule.

Development primer, not the final rulebook. Use the announced rules for any organized playtest.

Read a flip sequence in order

The game concept uses sequences of three coin flips. H means Heads and T means Tails. The order matters: H–H–T differs from H–T–H.

The practice below checks the draft Infernal Behemoth trigger. Set each result yourself; this is a teaching exercise, not a coin toss or a gameplay action.

Before resolving an ability

  1. Read the card’s name, type, and coin affinity.
  2. Check the cost and any tier requirement.
  3. Identify when the ability can occur: for example, on summon, passively, or after a named sequence.
  4. Check targets, range, duration, and use limits.
  5. Apply the playtest’s published ruling if an interaction is not yet specified.

What remains in development

The project has a draft setup, battlefield, coin tiers, and victory concepts. A complete public rulebook still needs a consistent turn sequence, timing and priority rules, deck-building limits, movement and targeting rules, balance values, and worked examples of a full game.

Unit prices, card trading, between-course ownership, and final card availability also need published rules. This guide does not activate those systems.
